about
This personal project was an exploration of atmospheric environment design and FX integration.
I created a full CG environment from scratch, centering the composition around a mystical gateway. To achieve the dynamic look of the portal itself, I used EmberGen to generate a custom smoke simulation.
The workflow involved exporting the simulation data into 3ds Max, where I handled the final layout and lighting. The scene was rendered using V-Ray, blending the volumetric effects seamlessly with the hard-surface geometry.
